Podium turns to enthusiast cyclists to research products which are both technologically and qualitatively innovative. Thanks to a high level of specialisation and to continuous investments in research and development, particularly in studying new materials and technologies, Podium guarantees reliable certified bicycles that meet the requirements of the cyclist who wants a high-performance product with which to express athletic potential in the best possible way. Continuous evolution in design and graphics has given Carrera bicycles an iconic style known throughout the world.

Carrera products are made in Italy, and only in Italy. The company labs in Calcinato in the province of Brescia are the site of all project design, prototype development, component production, assembly and completion tuning of each and every Carrera bicycle that is made.

Carrera-Podium R&D carries out in-depth anthropometric and biomechanical studies, reaching very high technical levels. The recent 2B “Double Arc Block” technology applied to the Phibra model is one visible result. The frame is created with innovative technology bonding two arc-shaped blocks, through lamination, resulting in a frame with the quality of having been made in a single block: stiff, light, comfortable, durable, reliable and customised to suit the cyclist’s body measurements.

The manual input, the care taken over finishing and a perfect knowledge of assembly techniques guarantee excellent products adapted to performance efficiency both on track and on road.

RC2 - REAR CARBON TRIANGLE Dates back to 1996 the presentation of the first CARRERA-PODIUM carbon rear triangle and since the year 2005 is on the market the third generation model by attractive design and characteristics of lightness and performances without equal. The high quality raw materials (HM high module carbon) and the mechanical characteristics give to the frame stiffness during the effort but contextual capability to dampen the road surface unevenness. RC2 is assembled on high range frames with optimized solutions in order to exalt its characteristics.

HIC – HEADSET INTEGRATED CONCEPT Each CARRERA-PODIUM frame is assembled with the oversize 1” 1/8 integrated headset. The headset movement is hidden inside the frame, with a great aesthetical effect and protected against atmospheric agents. The bearings oversize dimensions grant sturdiness and long life. WB - WISHBONE CONCEPT Rear monostay in balanced carbon T300-T700 Thanks to its high stiffness, the use of WB allow to dampen the frame vibrations caused by the road surface unevenness.

R&D –RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT Constant materials study, deepening of the production technologies and research of the best mechanical solutions, are the base of each CARRERA-PODIUM project. The company – always turned to the continuous evolution of shapes and solutions – puts special attention to the connection athlete/cycle, essential for the frames geometry development; the R&D department, in fact, respects carefully the most advanced anthropometrical and biomechanical studies in order to carry out customized frames for allowing each athlete to obtain the most performances as possible.
